Q12: What is Power Sum?
A12:Traditionally
Crosstalk can only been measured between any combination of two pairs
within the cables. Power Sum is a way of calculating the Crosstalk on
an individual pair caused by the three other pairs in the cables. This
is of crucial importance for Gigabit Ethernet, where all four pairs are
used simultaneously.
