Features
1) Impedance matching device which converts a 150 Ohm shielded twisted
pair (IBM Type 1) to a coaxial 93 Ohm signal.
2) Connect a 3270 category "A" terminal and controller using
IBM Type 1, 150 Ohm shielded twisted pair. ( IBM equivalent 6339082 )
Applications:
The red balun is used to operate IBM 3270 devices over
Type 1 STP cable, rather than coaxial cable. It provides an impedance
match from 150 ohm balanced cable to 93 ohm unbalanced cable.
