LAD Dual Port Thinwire Tap System for Features:

Dual socket outlet allows two users per port to be connected or disconnected to a Thinwire Ethernet segment without interruption to the signal path.
A special duplex cable assembly,available in several standard lengths,is used to connect between workstation or PC and outlets.One end of the duplex cable has a special connector which plugs into the outlet socket and activates switching contacts,the other end of the cable has a BNC plug for connecting to the workstation or PC.
The dual outlet ports are available for wall surface mounting or flush mounting for trunking,both types have two BNC sockets for connecting the outlets together using RG 58C/U cable.
Up to 30 dual outlets can be installed on a segment but not more than 30 users allowed at any one time.Each meter of duplex cable counts as double and each unused port has a loss equal to 1 meter of cable.
Segment with 10 dual port outlets,(total 20 ports) 4 users with 2.0m leads,5 users with 3.0m leads and 6 users with 5.0m leads.
Total number of users = 4 + 5 + 6= 15
Total number of unused Ports = 5
4 users with 2.0m leads = 4*4 =16
5 users with 3.0m leads = 5*6 =30
6 users with 5.0m leads = 6*10=60
5 unused ports = 5*1 5
Total = 111m
Maximum segment length 185m
Less total length of leads and ports 111m
Permissible length of connecting cable 74m
